We visited the Dourbali District Hospital

We visited the Dourbali District Hospital, where we met with patients and healthcare staff and discussed the conditions under which healthcare services are being provided. We observed the worrying state of the infrastructure and equipment, particularly the severe shortage of electricity.

The four 200 W batteries, purchased through the 5% funds allocated to the province, are now almost completely out of service, while the hospital requires a capacity of at least 30 kW to properly operate the surgical unit, laboratory, and medical wards.

Nevertheless, we commend the remarkable dedication of the District Medical Officer and his team, whose work is highly appreciated by patients. Despite the severe lack of resources, they continue to successfully perform surgical procedures.

We regret, however, the limited attention given to this hospital by the Provincial Council, which has made no significant investment in the facility since its establishment. Urgent action is needed: the health of our people deserves adequate infrastructure and resources that meet their needs.
