Meeting on Airtel Network Quality
Yesterday, I represented the National Assembly at a meeting between the Airtel Group and the Ministry of Telecommunications, Digital Economy, and Digitalization. The objective was to address the deterioration of the network.
Under the leadership of Minister Haliki Choua Mahamat, and in the presence of Secretary of State Ibangolo Abel Maina, clear requirements were set. Airtel has been called upon to act swiftly and increase its investments.
Outcome: Airtel has committed to investing more than 19 billion CFA francs by the end of the year to sustainably improve network quality across the entire country.
I welcome this important step forward. I congratulate Minister Haliki Choua Mahamat for securing this commitment. I will remain vigilant in ensuring that these commitments are effectively implemented, in the best interest of our citizens.

This morning, we took part in the closing ceremony of the first ordinary session of the National Assembly, chaired by the Right Honourable Speaker of the National Assembly. The ceremony was attended by the Right Honourable President of the Senate, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Togolese Republic and his delegation, the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Territorial Administration, members of the Government, and all our fellow Members of Parliament.
