It is with profound sadness and deep emotion that we learned of the loss of several of our valiant soldiers who fell on the field of honor against Boko Haram terrorists.
These sons of the nation sacrificed their lives to defend the territorial integrity of our country, protect our people, and preserve the peace and security of our nation. Their courage, commitment, and sense of duty will forever be etched in the collective memory of our people.
In this painful circumstance, I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families, their loved ones, and all members of the Defense and Security Forces. May Allah grant the departed His infinite mercy, welcome them into His eternal paradise, and bring comfort, strength, and patience to their families.
I also extend my wishes for a speedy and full recovery to all the soldiers wounded in these barbaric attacks. May Allah grant them the healing and courage necessary to overcome this ordeal. Faced with the terrorist threat, we reaffirm, as a political and republican actor, our solidarity with our Defense and Security Forces and our support for all actions aimed at defending the sovereignty, stability, and integrity of our country.
In such circumstances, the higher interest of the Nation must transcend political differences.
Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
